Are you a fan of downloading music? That is seriously the best way to enjoy your musical collection since you can carry it around with you in your iPod at all times, but of course, we have all been guilty of downloading illegally from time to time. Or at least we know someone who has. Now, I even feel nervous talking about this topic because there was a woman charged with illegally downloading 24 songs, and she got fined $1.9 million! So shocking!
I really didn’t know that they cracked down on illegal downloading like this, and who knows, maybe it is just a scare tactic to freak out all the rest of the illegal downloaders so that they will stop? Regardless, I am sure that she is not feeling so happy about the fact that she was used as an example, costing her $1.9 million. Apparently, this was the first case of copyright infringement to go to court in the US, and who knows if it will be the last? That is a pretty big a risk to take just for enjoying some music, but the fact is that so many people do it because it is so easy and free! Illegal downloaders, enjoy your music, and watch your backs!
