I am loving this new bit of weight loss advice that I read on my iPhone today on the way to work. I am a big fan of weight loss methods, which doesn’t mean that I’m into crash dieting, but I always love to hear new tips to try to integrate into my daily life. For instance, I have started to drink 2 cups of coffee every morning to boost my metabolism, and then I go heavy on the water for the rest of the day to make sure that my metabolism is still running high to burn extra calories, even when I am sitting at my desk.
This new study is showing that enough sleep is a key component to making sure that you don’t gain weight. The participants in the study were deprived of sleep and ended up having a significant weight gain. This evidence alone is enough to make me want to hit the hay earlier than usual because who doesn’t love sleep anyway? I’m thinking that this must be the best of both worlds because getting enough sleep will leave you rested and recharged so that you don’t depend on crappy snacks or junk food to get you through the day. Yay!
