How To Buy Meat At The Best Value

chicken1Oddly enough, I am all about bargain shopping so it is like a quest for me to make sure that I find the best deals on whatever meat I am purchasing to save me money. We are in an economic crisis, after all, so I figured that I would do a little bit of research to discover what is the cheapest meat available out there for the best price. I cook for myself and my wife, so that makes it necessary for me to bargain hunt and find the best meat deals. No, I am not obsessive about this, I just wanted to find the best price when I am buying meat at the grocery store.
One thing that I found out was that if you go for shoulder and leg cuts of any of the meats, like lamb, pork, or beef, then they are a better deal. The way that you do need to prepare them is to cook them slowly by braising them, but that allows them to be juicy and rich by the time you bite into them. For chicken, it is better to use thighs than chicken breasts if you want to get the best deal, moneywise. Trust me, your wallet will thank me!
