iPhone For Holiday Travel

by Allie on November 6, 2009

driving aloneI am not the fondest of holiday travel, but one thing that has definitely gotten me through was my iPod. Normally, I will travel with my sister to visit my parents in Albuquerque, and it is about an eight hour drive. I guess that is not the worst thing, and the way that I normally justify it is that if you were at the airport, with all of the waiting around, it would be about the same amount of time. That’s the way I justify it, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that I like to travel in the car for so long for Thanksgiving.

Another catch to this story is that my sister is a very particular driver, and she won’t let me drive her car. I guess that is also justified because I have gotten several speeding tickets. This means that I have absolutely no role in the travel itself, except to sit there and veg out. This year, I have downloaded numerous songs to my iPhone, and I also have many new applications to play with. What I’m thinking is that I’m just going to zone out and hope for the best, and at least I have my iPhone to keep me company.
