I have to admit that travel is not one of my favorite things since it seems that I am always sat in a fairly uncomfortable seat on an airplane next to either someone who is very old or very large. I used to really love the ambiance and the excitement of traveling to my destination, but now especially after all of the issues that we have had with terrorist attacks, I hardly look forward to a two-hour excursion in the air. One of the most difficult things is sitting next to someone who really wants to talk to you when you are just hoping to zone out and make the time pass as quickly as possible.
My newest solution to this type of problem is simply using my iPod. Sure, you can definitely listen to music while you’re at it, but if you want to read a book, then you can just put in your earphones so that the person next to you thinks you are unable to hear them. This will save you from many long and unnecessary conversations, but I have to warn you that you may hear things, like bodily noises, you would not hear otherwise when someone thinks that you can hear them!
