With the release of Apple’s iPhone 4 comes (not surprisingly) a slew of iPhone 4 repair services.  These repairs include home buttons, digitizer screens, lcd’s, batteries, and glass backplates (in black and white, thank you very much).

Companies like milliamp.com are offering a smattering of iPhone 4 repairs, but it should not be long before any part will be replaceable by an expert who is familar with these repairs or perhaps even a do-it-yourself kit.  Now, don’t tell my husband that I even hinted that I might take a screwdriver to his precious iPhone 4, but heck, you never know what I might be up to these days LOL!

The iPhone 4 if you have not heard yet truly is a state of the art design creation – metal wrap-around band to make up the case, glass backplate and gorgeous (retina) display.  And tell those Scotch-tape whiners that the iPhone 4 is near pefection, despite some of the minor hardware designe glitches that seem to be surfacing here and there.

OK, Allie out!

Prevent Chronic Back Pain

Friday, June 18, 2010 12:42 | by Aaron

If you are like myself, you have a standard 9-to-5 job facing a computer. Although this is common for many Americans, it also poses the problem of hunching over the computer and struggling with severe back pain. I decided to look up some helpful tips to treat this issue on my iPhone to give us all some much needed relief!
Many people try to rest their backs the moment that they experience pain. However, lying idle with a bad back can cause further harm as the muscles atrophy. Instead, it is best to stay active so that the muscles in your back can remain strong, even if you are experiencing pain. If you do have sore and stiff muscles in your back, the best thing that you can do is to apply heat to relax these muscles. It would also be helpful to go on a walk to reduce stiffness and weakness in your back. If the pain simply won’t go away, you may want to try to wait for several days to see if you experience improvement. After you have recovered, you can take the opportunity to do strength training exercises to protect your back from further pain and injury!

Lip Plumping Gone Awry

Friday, June 4, 2010 9:04 | by Allie

It’s no secret that the beauty industry is crazier than ever, and I found a truly unique product today when I was looking online on my iPhone. If you are someone that is interested in lip plumping but does not want to have painful or expensive injections, you may want to consider something that is called the Luscious Lips Kit. This is a device that will pump your lips to make them even bigger and more bodacious than some of the celebrities who have several injections in their pouts.
This kit is supposed to use a vacuum process to pull fluid to the lips, which will help to increase circulation and plump them in the process. This device also claims to be able to reduce small lines on the lips through the vacuum process, which will create a younger and smoother appearance. Of course, this product may be too good to be true because many customers have reported that it does not work well, and many women have also experienced pain from using Luscious Lips. Even the official website has a disclaimer that this device may cause bruising, so you may want to vacuum your lips at your own risk!

Can What You Eat Improve Your Memory?

Tuesday, June 1, 2010 6:32 | by Aaron

There are so many studies circulating about how what you eat will affect your body from head to toe, but can your food choices improve your memory? I found out a little bit more information on the Internet through my newly milliamp.com repaired iPhone on how to beat forgetfulness based on what you eat. There is nothing more frustrating than having your thoughts scattered and disorganized, but a recent study showed that people who ate in a Mediterranean-style showed less of a mental decline than others who did not. Mediterranean food choices include fruit, fish, vegetables, grains, and limited red meat. The reason behind this is that these foods are full of antioxidants, which will prevent mental debilitation and Alzheimer’s disease.
On top of that, you may want to add a glass of red wine to your diet per day to reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s by half. Red wine is full of antioxidants that prevent damage to the small blood vessels, which is linked to the development of Alzheimer’s. On top of that, regular coffee drinkers have also been proven to have a reduced risk of Alzheimer’s. The reason for that is because coffee is also full of antioxidants, and it will protect the blood-brain barrier that often deteriorates to cause Alzheimer’s as you age. Food for thought…

Tips for Booking a Cruise

Tuesday, May 25, 2010 7:13 | by Mel

Summer is upon us, so you may be trying to think of the most fun vacation alternative to fit within your budget. For this reason, I checked out some interesting tips on the best way to book a cruise on my iPhone at since my cruise vacation was one of my best experiences so far!
First of all, it is so important to research the boats that you are interested in. You are going to be on this cruise ship for a few days, so you want to make sure that your accommodations are comfortable, there is entertainment, and you like the food. It is also so important to book early because that is the way to get the best prices. You will either need to book early or at the very last minute, which will give you the sale price when booking a cruise. However, if you book at the last minute, you do have to worry about the cruise being sold out, so be prepared for that risk. Last of all, don’t skimp on your cabin! Try to get the best cabin that you can afford because you could be stuck with a very small cabin that you aren’t happy with.

Working Out in the Summertime

Tuesday, May 11, 2010 7:25 | by Marvin

I have to tell you that I absolutely love running outdoors, but there is a difficulty to working out outside in the summertime. I have found that the best solution is to go at a crazy early hour in the morning when it is still cool outside. What I have started doing is listening to Slacker radio on my iPhone, which gives you a fun and free compilation of a bunch of different songs based on genre.
I have to listen to really upbeat music to get myself motivated to run at the early hour of 6:30 AM, but I promise you that it is completely worth it. The interesting benefit to using Slacker radio on my iPhone is that it lets you customize your radio settings to your preference, so you can choose stations with music that is older, newer, or lesser well known. This is fun if you are listening to a station over and over again and getting tired of it. You can mix it up so that it starts to give you different musical selections, which is perfect to keep it fresh when you are trying to stay motivated to work out. Music is my savior when working out in the summertime!

Let’s Learn Some Restaurant Etiquette!

Wednesday, May 5, 2010 7:22 | by Betty

Of course, we all have tip calculators on our iPhones, but are we really using them? That is why I thought it was necessary to discuss the best uses of restaurant etiquette so that you can better enjoy your time when you are dining out. As a rule of thumb, you must tip 15% as a minimum. No matter what the minimum wage for servers may be, they are depending completely upon their tips since their measly hourly wage is taxed away. Even if you are at a buffet, you should tip a few dollars for the service that you have received.
Furthermore, it is so important to turn off your cell phone when you are eating. If you do need to make a call, be polite to other diners, and step outside. Last of all, make sure that you don’t get blame happy if anything were to go wrong with your order. If you get the wrong drink, it may not be the fault of your waitress, and if your food is cooked improperly, it definitely isn’t her fault. Most servers are more than happy to make your stay pleasant, but it only makes the problem worse if you blame them for something that they didn’t do!

Are Store Makeup Testers Okay?

Tuesday, April 27, 2010 7:47 | by Allie

I am a big makeup fan, but most recently, I saw a headline on my iPhone that was absolutely shocking. Normally, I will go to many of the beauty stores and use testers to see what type of makeup color looks best on me. That is so much better than buying something that is unflattering, wasting money, and having to throw it away! However, it turns out that many of the store testers that sit out actually have harmful bacteria on them that could cause an infection.
The bottom line is that if you want to test out the makeup in a store, make sure that you are using a clean and disposable applicator. Never, never, never use your finger to test lipstick colors, and if you are getting your makeup done in a department store, ask them if all of their brushes are clean. This may seem like a no-brainer, but you don’t want to have someone else’s bacteria put directly on your face. Even worse, your eyes are a very sensitive area, so it may be better to avoid testing any mascara altogether if it has been used by several other people. Better safe than sorry!

Glee Is Back!

Thursday, April 22, 2010 6:11 | by Aaron

I am all about the hit show Glee, and I have even gone so far as downloading quite a bit of music to my iPod from iTunes. I have to say that is quite a clever marketing ploy since you will be watching the show, humming along, and then you are encouraged to download music from iTunes. I can’t resist! From Glee, you also have the opportunity to see quite a few of your favorite hit songs choreographed in a pretty interesting way, including in a mattress commercial.
One thing that does confuse me about the show is the fact that the cheerleaders wear their uniforms every moment of the day, as well as every day of the week. I don’t know about you, but when I was in high school, I don’t think that I ever saw a cheerleader wearing a uniform around, unless it happened to be at a pep rally. I do have to say that I am more than excited to see what they have for the upcoming season, especially with the fantastic comic relief of Sue Sylvester. If you are like me and are tempted by downloading music from Glee, I won’t tell!
